Reflections

reflections_24-social_ig_1080x1080National PTA’s Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

The 2024–2025 Reflections theme is Accepting Imperfections.

Nationally and locally, PTA has supported the “Reflections” Program for 54 years, encouraging millions of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to explore their artistic talents. Roswell High School’s PTSA sponsored “Reflections” Program offers students the opportunity to express themselves for fun, recognition, and competition not only against other students at our school, but at the regional level through North Fulton Council, as well as at the State and National level.

Students in grades 9 through 12 of ALL abilities are called on to submit works in the following categories:

  • Literature
  • Film Production
  • Music Composition
  • Dance Choreography
  • Visual Arts
  • Photography

We are proud to recognize 2024 RHS Reflections winner

Congratulations to Abigail Carter – 10th grade for her visual art piece, Golden Hour, moving on to the North Fulton Council level of Reflections.  The theme this year is Accepting Imperfection.  The North Fulton Reflections Exhibition will be held Thursday, November 14th 5:30-8:30PM.

The theme of my art piece is the ‘Golden Hour’. My piece reflects my observations of nature and my internal experiences processing nature’s beauty.  Part of the human experience is witnessing and reflecting on God’s ability to create beautiful landscapes with color.  The true beauty of nature is recognizing and appreciating creation in all its forms. As humans, we may see imperfections, but it is important to remember that imperfections play a role in the overall masterpiece of life.  I was moved to capture this moment through are and share them with others.
