2026 PTSA Senior Scholarships: Summaries and Basic Criteria — Reference

Basic Eligibility & Application Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
• Be a graduating Roswell High School senior
• Be a PTSA member by March 7, 2026 – Join PTSA HERE.
• Complete the online application by March 7, 2026, including:
  – Required questions
  – One essay using the provided prompt
  – At least one (1) recommendation from a teacher, moderator, employer, or coach
• Upload all required materials by the deadline

Important Notes:
• Recommendation forms are available on the PTSA website or within the application
• Do not attach a resume
• Falsified applications will be disqualified

Scholarship Summaries

Dede Rehkopf Performing Arts Scholarship – $1,500
Awarded to a graduating senior who excels in the Performing Arts including theatre, band, chorus, orchestra, dance, and Broadcast Video.

Leadership Scholarship – $1,000
Awarded to a graduating senior who demonstrates leadership through integrity, initiative, and service.

Visual Arts Scholarship – $1,000
Awarded to a graduating senior who excels in Visual Arts including 2D and 3D media.

Robert J. Boyd Academic Excellence Scholarship – $1,000
Awarded to a graduating senior who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement.

Hard-Working Hornet Scholarship – $1,000
Awarded to a graduating senior who demonstrates perseverance and a strong work ethic.

Cosmetology Scholarship – $1,000
Awarded to a graduating senior pursuing a cosmetology pathway.

Anne Fallon Make a Difference Scholarship – $1,000
Awarded to a graduating senior who leaves RHS better than they found it.

CTAE Scholarship – $500
Awarded to a graduating senior completing a CTAE pathway.

Math Excellence Scholarship – $500
Awarded to a graduating senior excelling in mathematics.

Scholarships not applied for: selected by the Scholarship Review Panel or Student Services     

The Stand-Out Scholarship – $500

Sponsored by Tran Bui Productions & the PTSA                                                                                              

The Stand-Out Student Scholarship is awarded to two students who score the next highest in the evaluation process from the first 14 scholarship applicant pools. Tran is the parent of two current Hornets and serves as the PTSA Communication VP. 

The Jerome Huff Inspiration Scholarship (2) – $1000 each

Sponsored by Turf Masters Lawn Care & Karen Faber/Shawn DoVale, Harry Norman Realtors (chosen by Student Services)                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

The Jerome Huff Inspiration Scholarship is awarded to a Roswell High School graduating senior who has overcome difficulty but who has not let it deter their path for success. This scholarship was created by RHS PTSA to honor Principal Jerome Huff when he retired in 2017 after serving as Principal for six years.
